Cordless Vacuum Review 2024

Technology advances quickly, and new products are released constantly. One item that is particularly affected by this is vacuums. Back in 2022, we reviewed several cordless vacuums (read about it here), and it’s time to do it again!

One caveat: As professional cleaners, our preference will always be to use corded vacuums on the job. When cleaning for 8 hours, we need reliable power. 

But we love using cordless vacuum cleaners in our homes. They are perfect for quick clean-ups and daily tidying. 

Some of the things we look for in cordless vacuums are:

  1. Suction: What good is a vacuum if it doesn’t suck? We test them with various messes and on both hard floors and carpets. Does it fling the dirt around, and does it clean all the way up to the edges and baseboards?
  2. Battery life: There’s nothing worse than losing power part-way through a job. How long will the battery last? Is the battery replaceable or built in?
  3. Attachments: How versatile is it for all the cleaning jobs you need it to do? We love a crevice tool and an upholstery tool (bonus points if it’s powered). 
  4. Canister size and filter: Not too big to be clunky, not too small that it’s filled up in 2 minutes. How easy is it to empty/replace?
  5. Wall mount: can it be easily stored when not in use?
